rijo42 Promises Raffle Huge Chocolate Bar To Raise £505 for Derian House

rijo42 Promises raise funds for Derian House

Having supported local Children’s Hospice Derian House for many years, rijo42 Promises was thrilled to begin the New Year by donating £505.00 to this incredible charity.

Following the successful Stars & Cars event last spring, we’d been looking for a way to fundraise for the hospice again. And in December, the perfect opportunity arrived from Switzerland in the shape of a giant Toblerone. An annual festive gift from our Swiss commercial coffee machines partner. This Christmas we decided to raffle off the colossal chocolate treat and donate all proceeds to Derian House. All staff took part and generously purchased tickets in the name of a very good cause. The raffle was drawn on 23rd December and the humongous Toblerone was won by Business Development Manager, Mark Calvert. Being a true gent, Mark declined his prize and requested it be donated to Derian House along with the money raised.

Ingredients Account Manager and rijo42 stalwart, Vicky Black delivered the cheque and giant Toblerone on the 23rd January. Derian House were thrilled and immediately took to Social Media to express their gratitude.

For 24 years, Derian House has cared for the needs of children with life limiting and life threatening conditions. The hospice has an unrivalled reputation in setting high standards in children’s palliative, respite and end of life care. They emphasise on providing expert support to children and their families and delivering an individual approach to their care. Their work is incredible and we’re delighted to help in any way possible.

rijo42 Promises donated the money in the memory of Jack Johnstone; the grandson of an employee who tragically lost his battle with Cystic Fibrosis in December, aged just ten.

We are in awe of the invaluable support Derian House provide and very much look forward to fundraising for this incredible organisation again soon.
