On Friday 25th January, twice consecutive winners of the King of Curry Award, Akbar’s Restaurant, hosted their annual charity dinner. The evening was held at the Hilton Hotel in Bradford and was in aid of the Lord Mayor’s Appeal & Mosaic, an initiative of Business in the Community, one of the HRH The Price of Wales’ Charities.
The evening was hosted by Paul Daniels and Debbie McGee with Special guest performances from Roach Killa, Kanika Kapoor, Shide Boss, Abbas Hassan, Deen Jan Jua & Britain’s Got Talent finalist Razy Gogonea, Semi-finalist streetdance troupe Abyss and X-factor finalist Nikkita Angus.
Akbar’s Restaurant is a rijo42 customer and have Brasil Bean to Cup Coffee Machines at several of their sites. At rijo42, we always strive to support charitable causes and assist our customers in any way we can. We have our own registered charity, rijo promises which has helped many worthy causes since it’s conception in 2001. rijo42 took a table at Akbar’s Charity Dinner with various members of the team in attendance. The evening was thoroughly enjoyed by the whole team, with our Ingredients Manager, Ben West, even showing Debbie McGee a few magic tricks of his own. We can always rely on Ben to get into the spirit of an occasion!
A huge congratulations to Akbar’s Restaurant for organising such a wonderful evening.
