rijo42 Coffee helps raise funds for RSPCA Preston

Having seen RSPCA Preston‘s appeal on ITV Granada Reports, rijo42 wanted to do something to help the centre that was in danger of closure.

Formed in 1887, RSPCA Preston is the City’s solitary animal rescue centre and, when making their appeal, only had enough funds to run the centre for a mere two months. This situation potentially meant that the animals left in their care could once again face an uncertain future. RSPCA Preston receive no government funding for their work and although affiliated with the National RSPCA, they receive no support from the National organisation in terms of funding. They rely solely on donations from the public to keep the centre going. A stand alone charity with average running costs of £240,000 per year and fewer legacies being left to the centre these days, the animals at RSPCA Preston need help now more than ever.

Being a company of animal lovers we wanted to assist in raising funds. rijo42 donated coffee beans and ingredients to the RSPCA Preston. Visitors to the centre can now enjoy a freshly ground cup of coffee in exchange for the small donation of £1 to the charity. We hope our donation will generate the funds that are so desperately required to rehabilitate and re-home sick and unwanted animals.

If you would like to make a donation to RSPCA Preston, please visit the website. Your help would be greatly appreciated by both the centre and the animals.
