A Mochaccino or Caffe Mocha is Espresso mixed with hot steamed milk and hot chocolate topped with milk froth or whipped cream. A Mochaccino is the perfect drink to introduce people to coffee. It’s also a great indulgent treat and ideal for those times when you fancy something a little different. Below you’ll find instructions to make perfect Mochaccinos using traditional espresso machines, but ensure you have mastered creating the perfect espresso and how to froth milk first.

Begin by preparing your espresso in the bottom of a warm latte glass following how to make the perfect espresso.

Pour the required amount of milk into your steaming pitcher and add 7g of rijo42 Deluxe Hot Chocolate Powder, froth following how to froth milk

Holding back the froth using a milk spatula, pour the chocolate flavoured steamed milk into the latte glass until 2/3 full.

Remove the spatula from the milk and top the glass up with froth by shaking the jug or spooning on top.

Top with a dusting of chocolate powder or cinnamon. For an extra indulgence add whipped cream, mini marshmallows and chocolate shavings.
