rijo42 Commercial Coffee Machines Raise Money for Macmillan Cancer Support

We have supported Macmillan Cancer Support for many years at rijo42. As the largest independent coffee supplier in the UK, we aim to all we can to fundraise for The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.

Earlier this year, we presented a cheque to Macmillan for £1336, after three members of the team took part in a 300ft bungee jump back in September 2012. This year, as well as holding our own coffee morning at rijo42 HQ, we have assisted many companies with their events by donating coffee, raffle prizes and even the use our commercial coffee machines to help raise funds.

On Friday 27th September we assisted Bradford City Football Club with their Macmillan coffee morning. We took a Brasil commercial coffee machine along to Bantams Bar at the Coral Windows Stadium, and served freshly ground coffees for the duration of the event, in return for donations to Macmillan. rijo42 donated the use of the machine for the day, along with all coffee beans, coffee ingredients and ancillaries. We also donated the services of our very own Bradford City supporter, rijo42 Sales Consultant, Richard Brice. In addition, we donated a rijo42 Uno Home coffee machine gift pack and rijo42 Wine Gift Set for the raffle.

The event, organised by City kit man, John Duckworth was a great success with club management including City boss, Phil Parkinson (pictured below), players, fans and community members all in attendance.

Along with City boss Phil Parkinson, players Nahki Wells (pictured below), Gary Jones, Stephen Darby, Alan Connell, Connor Ripley, Andrew Davies, Jason Kennedy, Jon McLaughlin, Ricky Ravenhill and Rory McArdle all took time out of their busy schedules to show their support and help raise funds for Macmillan.

The figure raised is not yet finalised as donations are still being received and auction items are still receiving bids. The club is however predicting at least a four-figure sum, which is incredible and will be put to amazing use by Macmillan to assist people living with or affected by cancer. Congratulations to the club and John in particular for organising such a great event. We were very proud to be a part of it.
