rijo Promises
At rijo 42 we strongly believe in helping our local community. We feel that putting something back is a healthy investment that leads to a healthy local economy and furthermore a healthy future.
At rijo 42 we are passionate about doing all we can to help people who are sadly less fortunate than ourselves. It was for these reasons we created rijo promises.
rijo promises is our very own registered charity number 1111957. Established following the tragic loss of a very dear friend to all at rijo, our initial goal was to raise £20k for Breast Cancer Care. The charity has been more successful than we ever envisaged and has evolved with each passing year. To date, rijo promises has raised in excess of £120k. The main benefactor of our fundraising efforts has been Royal Bolton Hospital, to which we donated a total of £71,568 over a period of two years. £45,000 of the money was used to purchase a state of the art ultrasound scanner to aid in the early detection of breast cancer. The other £26,568 was used to purchase vital signs monitors for the Premature Baby Unit.
rijo promises also donated £22,000 to HPCT to fund trips to Lourdes for sick and terminally ill children. Other benefactors include Bolton Hospice, Manchester Children’s Hospital, Derian House and Tommy’s Angel Fund.
Money has been raised in a number of different ways including Charity Key-ring sales, Charity Gala Dinners, staff fancy dress fundraiser, along with huge support from colleagues and friends. We would like to thank everyone who has helped in making rijo promises a great success and enabling us to help such worthy causes, we couldn’t do it with out you! rijo 42 also donates a percentage from all product sales to rijo promises.
