Established in 1989, rijo 42 has successfully remained at the forefront of an extremely dynamic and demanding industry. As a company we have experienced superb growth due to our ability to diversify and embrace change.
Back in the early 'Nineties' we operated solely as a vending machine supplier offering vending machines and vending machine consumables. However by the early 'Naughties' our repertoire of services had extended considerably and by 2006 rijo had firmly established itself in the market place as a top class brand.
Our launch of the Bean 2 Cup coffee machine in 2004 changed the focus of rijo entirely. Grinding coffee beans within the machine and delivering a fresh cup of coffee every time. This machine was a tremendous breakthrough, one through which we discovered how great the demand for top quality coffee had become. This demand prompted our decision to begin blending our own coffee, which we lovingly created by travelling the World in search of the ultimate coffee beans. The fruits of our labour took shape in two exceptional coffees; 'rijo red', made entirely of 100% Arabica coffee beans, producing an exquisite flavour & aroma. The other, 'rijo black', a blend of Arabica and Robusta coffee beans providing a slightly more intense flavour. We also produce all of our instant coffees from 100% Arabica coffee beans to ensure outstanding quality throughout our range.
With the demand for great coffee on the rise, the demand for café bars and coffee shops also soared. In 2007 we introduced rijo design, an interior design service transforming ideas from concept to completion. Rijo design offers a comprehensive solution from planning and design to flooring, lighting, artwork and of course coffee machines, juice dispensers, smoothie makers and catering equipment. We have designed a number of concepts at various locations and business types, from cafes in Leisure Centres to Juice Bars in Universities. Each project is treated as an individual to ensure clients a completely unique environment that encompasses client personality along with an essence of rijo. We even manufacture furniture in house enabling us to create beautiful, one off feature pieces for each of the concepts we design. At rijo we have many strings to our bow including our very own registered charity 1111957, rijo promises. Established in 2005, rijo promises has raised in excess of £120,000. The main benefactor of our fund raising being Royal Bolton Hospital, for whom we purchased an Ultrasound Scanner for the Breast Unit in 2006 and Vital Signs Monitors for the Premature Baby Unit in 2007. The turn of 2008 saw the launch of rijo's newest concept, our all in one vending machine; the Onestop. As the name suggests the Onestop is a comprehensive vending solution. Four machines in one, the Onestop offers hot drinks vending, cold drinks vending along with snacks and confectionery vending. This vending machine is like nothing else on the UK market. Its sleek, sophisticated design and small dimensions make this machine totally unique. The Onestop vending machine has generated a great amount of interest since it's launch.
